Safari Photography

12 Countries Across Africa

In 2010 I spent three and a half months travelling overland through Africa. Morocco and Egypt down to South Africa, then back up through Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. Most of the wildlife photography came from the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti in Tanzania, where the elephant photograph that ended up on the cover of National Geographic Traveller was shot on a Nikon D90.

The trip finished at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, tracking mountain gorillas through the jungle.
